Dear Colleague,
on the Behalf of Organizing Committee, I am pleased to invite you to participate to the “International Conference of Osteopontin” which will be held at the “Center for Translational Research on Autoimmune & Allergic Diseases - CAAD", in Novara, Italy from in July 15th - 17th, 2020.
Researchers in a variety of disciplines are working to understand the mechanism of action of osteopontin but rarely attend the same meetings. This fact is a major reason why there has been a barrier to rapid progress in understanding the molecular mechanisms of osteopontin function throughout the body.
The International Osteopontin Society Conference is the only meeting in the world that brings together investigators in one room from the fields of cancer, autoimmune diseases, musculoskeletal disorders, neurological disorders, aging, metabolic diseases, and inflammatory disorders. The meeting will provide the opportunity for seasoned investigators as well as trainees and new investigators to present their research findings in oral and/or poster session format. Through networking, and the sharing of resources, new collaborations will be formed.
The Organizing Committee is preparing an exciting program that will inform participants on the latest developments in the field. The program will include a plenary session, meet the expert sessions, a wine and cheese welcome reception, a social dinner event and coffee breaks. Plenty of time is also devoted to poster presentations.
We want to see you there!
Novara is a town of Piedmont with an excellent strategic position: 101 kilometers from Turin and 50 from Milan; it is served by important infrastructure such as Malpensa airport, the motorway network and high-speed trains. In Novara traditions and history meet in a historic center that resembles a nineteenth-century living room, dominated by the Cupola of San Gaudenzio, a masterpiece by Alessandro Antonelli. It is also squeezed between a strip of land and rice fields between the Sesia and the Ticino. Behind the curving hills of the wine and the castles and further up the suggestive silence of Lake Orta and the luminous reflections of Lake Maggiore. The horizon is closed by the Alps with the perennial glaciers of Monte Rosa.
CAAD is a newborn research center that focus the efforts of collaborative groups of researchers with expertises in different fields to accelerate progress toward the development of new treatments to prevent and treat autoimmune and allergic diseases.
We look forward to seeing you in Novara as part of this exciting meeting!
